Chiming Belle's Kitchen Wisdom!

1. "Don’t Cry, we all spill silly pie." - Chiming Belle

Reality is none of us is perfect and we all make mistakes, including myself, Chiming Belle.

So, it’s not a big deal when we spill something. It could be a minor setback, but ultimately spilling or mistakes help us learn what we need to practice on.

Also, don’t be hard on yourself, everyone has spilled. Yes, it’s upsetting, but let’s take a deep breath, calm down and clean up the spill. We can always have a do-over.

2. "While we sauté lets chat about our day." - Chiming Belle

Waiting for a meal to bake or sauté is a time I cherish having conversations with my granddaughter or whomever is helping me in the kitchen.

It’s a time to invest in our relationship, connect, and grow closer together by just talking.

Spending time together in the kitchen often is more than just talking about recipes, but life.

Nothing matters more than your relationships with the people in your life and spending time chatting and cooking helps me grow closer to the people in my life

Also, the times I am alone in the kitchen, it’s a great time for me to just contemplate and reset and not think about life’s distractions.

3."It’s time to wash the veggies, wash the veggies, wash the veggies, It’s time to wash the veggies to get the meal ready." - Chiming Belle

Washing fruits and vegetables to remove impurities is a great reminder that nurturing a strong relationship takes effort.

Just as we clean food to prepare it for cooking, we sometimes need to “clean” our relationships by addressing misunderstandings and negative feelings.

Ultimately, both processes can lead to satisfaction and a healthier life.
